Sri Ramakrishna Sangha is a registered trust which has been regularly conducting many socio-religious activities since 2006 for the residents of Dwarka, New Delhi. Its yearly ‘Ramacharitmanas Pravachan Shrinkhala’ is a hugely popular program that draws audience from far and near.
Over and above this, classes for householders on ‘Spirituality in our daily life’ are held on 1st and 3rd Saturdays of every month. However, all physical classes were suspended when the Covid pandemic hit our normal lives. Looking at the constant demand by the participants to resume the classes, the need for such interactions during the trying times was all the more established. Accordingly, online classes were started in Sep 2020 which are now conducted every Saturday. The participants quickly geared themselves up to the new platform and the number of participants also rose manifold times. It is indicative of the popularity of such interactions which are relevant for all age groups of all times.
Philanthropic Activities
‘Vivekdeep’ is a value based initiative for the under privileged children of our society.The objective of Vivekdeep is to instill human values in the students in the form of ‘Self Confidence’ and ‘Compassion’.
Started in an old garage in 2014, Vivekdeep has now found its place in many hearts and a pucca roof above its head. Several schools and Corporates have lauded its attempt to transform lives in a unique manner. Responding to the constant persuasion of the parents, a girls’ section and a Computer Lab were started in 2019.
During the pandemic, Vivekdeep extended its helping hand for the needy. Cooked food, clothes and toys were distributed in several phases. All the events were meticulously planned and executed by the enthusiastic volunteers. After all, these are the situations when we learn much more than when we do within the confines of a classroom. Unconditional love received in the form of hundreds of smiling faces are the result of such selfless actions.
The journey continues, so does the learning !
